Demonstration Version 2.11

The files held in the mdCtrl1.ZIP are part of an 
installation routine that will install a demonstration
version of the Media Control Library.  Except for the 
"splash" screen which will appear everytime the Library
is loaded, the software is a full working version.  Every
command is available and functional.

Once the software is installed, review the help file to
see all of the available commands and controls.  This help 
file gives an explanation and syntax examples of the command.

The sample code enclosed will show you how to get started 
with the Library and also the power of some of the commands.
The Media Control Library will allow you to control MPEG, 
Indeo, Video for Windows, QuickTime, Cinepak and DVI video 
as well as Compressed (ADPCM) and uncompressed Wave audio.  
All of this is accomplished through a single set of commands.  

The Media Control Library operates within MacroMedia 
Authorware, Microsoft Visual Basic, Asymetrix Toolbook, 
C/C++, AimTech IconAuthor and any other environment that can
handle a Windows Dynamic Link Library.  A version for 
MacroMedia Director is currently in Beta Test and will be
available soon.  A Visual Basic VBX is also in development.

To Install:
1. Unzip MDCTRL1.ZIP to a directory on your hard disk or to a 
diskette.
2. Run the Instalit.exe program.
3. A menu will appear that will allow you to install the demo
and any sample code you wish to examine.

Caution: If you already have a version of the Media Control Library,
be careful to back up your present MDCTRL.DLL file as this 
installation will write a new file with the same name to the
Windows\System directory.
